I Don’t Just Adopt Technology. I Build It.

SOFTWARE & INNOVATION

Solutions

Most academic administrators approach technology as consumers: evaluating vendors, deploying platforms, managing licenses. That’s necessary work. But it has limits — because off-the-shelf tools are built for the average institution, not yours.

Over the past decade, I have designed and built a suite of custom software tools that spans a wider range than most people expect from an academic administrator: faculty development and evaluation, academic scheduling and program planning, healthcare workforce analysis, conference management, peer-reviewed journal publishing, browser forensics and privacy education, and institutional relationship management. My tools are described below. These are not side projects or proofs of concept. They are production tools.

What follows is a portfolio of those tools — each described in terms of the problem it solved, the design decisions behind it, and the outcomes it produced.
